Here’s what we are working on this week:

Literacy

• Rereading to learn more about characters in books
• Writing realistic fiction series
• Specific word work

Math

• Adding and subtracting within 100
• Collecting data and graphing results
• Addition fluency

Science

• Planning and conducting investigations to show that vibrating materials can make sound and sound can make materials vibrate
• Using tools and materials to design and build a device that uses light or sound to solve the problem of communicating over a distance
• Making observations to construct an evidence-based account that objects in darkness can be seen only when illuminated

Home Connection

• Read for 20 minutes each night and record in the Reading Log
• Reread to learn more about characters
• Practice reading with fluency
• Practice your math flash cards
